Tim Wolfe, Jr. (Bass):
|
Hello, I'm Tim Jr. I occasionally play bass for the Fire City Jazz
Band. I first got my taste of music in sixth grade
when I picked up the alto sax, which I stopped playing
at the end of my freshman year of high school. I had
two reasons for ending my stint with the sax: (1) My dad
(who happens to be the sax player for FCJB) already
played it, and I thought it was unnecessary to have
two sax players in the house, and (2) My parents bought
me a cheap Squier Bass I asked for at the end of
eighth grade.
I started taking lessons the summer between eighth and
ninth grade with Jeff Hiner. I started noodling
around on the upright bass near the end of my
sophomore year of high school, but didn't really start playing
it seriously until my junior year. I'm continuing my music career at
Lebanon
Valley College. |
Gear
I play a Warwick Corvette Standard and my high
school's 3/4 Hans Kroger upright bass into a vintage
Peavey bass amp given to me by my grandfather, a
seasoned bass veteran.
